Pi = 3.14159265358979323846264338

I just found that off some website. That's 26 decimal places if I've counted correctly. I think, back in my smarter days, I had maybe up to the first 4 or 5 committed to memory. (I've now been reduced to the standard 3.14.)

A high school kid in Salem, VA decided to one-up me a couple times over and recited 8,784 digits from memory.

Gaurav Rajav, 15, had hoped to recite 10,790 digits and set a new record in the United States and North America. But he remembered enough to potentially place third in national and North American Pi recitation and 12th in the world.

Our of curiosity, how long exactly would it take to recite 8-thousand some digits?

.... And I thought spelling bees were tedious...
