Miers Withdraws Nomination

Bush cites the Senate's calls for White House documents as the reason for her stepping down. While I began to feel that W honestly felt that she was an ideal pick for the Supreme Court, I still think it's possible this whole thing was a ploy. (Hey... no harm in sticking to my story. Basket weaving isn't really doing it for me.)

Now comes the not-so-giddy anticipation of her replacement. Let's see if Bush can select someone with at least a modicum of judicial experience. Maybe someone who arbitrated a 2nd grade dispute between Timmy and Bobby about whose momma was fatter.

That would suit me just fine.
