Pat Robertson: Douchebag Extraordinaire

He warns the citizens of Dover, PA:

If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God. You just rejected him from your city.

This is of course due to the fact that members of the Dover school board who supported the teaching of intelligent design were voted out.

If they have future problems in Dover, I recommend they call on Charles Darwin. Maybe he can help them.

Maybe he could Pat. Survival of the fittest and all.

See, the problem here is Robertson sees this vote as a big "F You!" to God. He acts as though the public school forum is the only place where ID can be taught. He doesn't seem to be able to the grasp the fact that maybe, just maybe, the people that voted this way do in fact believe in God, but just don't feel it has a place in public schools. I mean, would sex education fit in with any CCD curriculum? And is God really gonna' smite these believers just because they want their kids to learn of intelligent design from their Sunday school teachers? Is He that pissed about the topic?

I hope not. 'Cause if God gets His panties in a twist about stuff like this, I'm pretty much screwed.
